Gratitude lists. Do you do them?
Do you try to do them?
Every day, I write ten things I am grateful for in a gratitude notebook. Sometimes, the list flows, and sometimes, it's a struggle.
But do they work? Like make-your-life-happy work?
What is the effect of a gratitude list in your day-to-day life?
Here is a little story about how my list affected me last week.
Ya know how when you're in pain at the doctor's, and they ask you to rate your pain? When I had knee replacement surgery, the highest I got was a 6.
Last Tuesday, I was at an 8. It was bad enough that I should not have been driving.
But then I turned a literal corner onto Allenford Road and saw a site.
I'll let you watch the video to see what happens next.
But in that moment, even in severe pain, I was grateful for my gratitude habit.
What do you think? Do you do them? What is your dream gratitude practice?
